Hi! I'm Caroline Mobley.

Since Fall 2021, I've been an Instructor of Philosophy at High Point University in High Point, NC.

In May 2021, I received my Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where I also served as an instructor. My dissertation,  An Ethics of Amusement, considers when someone's finding something funny may be morally appropriate or inappropriate. I specialize in applied ethics, especially philosophy of humor. I also work in philosophy of death, philosophy of disability, and philosophy of emotions.

I received my M.A. in Philosophy from UTK in August 2019.

I received my B.A. in English from Pepperdine University in 2012 and have several years of work experience outside of academia. Teaching, however, continues to be the most rewarding work I have ever done.
